I don't think OP is trolling. Like one of the mods stated, he has contributed to this forum in a proper manner. He sounds quite sheltered though.
OP, I'd be more worried about your dad.
My dad lost his job during the tech bubble burst a decade ago. He had to switch careers to start working again, and that was after a few years. Although he's doing extremely well now in his new career, being kicked out from his old industry just shattered his ego and he went to a decline for a while (E.g. worried about looking after his family, pondering if he made proper career moves). It took a few years for him to recover. Problem is, men his age have gone through quite a bit, so the pride is there for not asking help.
Good luck OP. I've been there. Had 4 jobs concurrently during University, plus I was getting money to any scholarships and bursaries. If you're a professional student, this is a great chance to not be one. It's the worst thing you can become. So volunteer if you need experience. Go for entry level part time jobs. It does not have to be in the field you're studying. In fact, I would suggest jobs that involve a lot of face to face communication to improve your interpersonal skills. You want to run a business in the future (if you aspire to run one), you got to learn how to sell.

Student loan is more than enough to pay for school.
Just find a part time job as a tutor ($30/hour) for allowance.
Depends on what you study but co-op can help you pay back most of the loan anyways.
