Just trails i know Fairly well. I wanted to get up towards Thurston lake but they have it gated now :( I think they might be logging that area again or starting a rock quarry

great pics.

you could probably cross that stretch where the bridge is out if you stacked rocks.

doesn't look like it'd be too too bad.

did you explore past the bridge washout on foot? see what was on the otherside?

Matties 06-23-2013 07:00 PM

Some great pics. Chilliwack valley area has tons of great trails to explore. Also great hunting and fishing for those of you who like to get your meals the old fashion way.

Prolowtone 06-23-2013 07:27 PM

I would want someone there to winch me out just in case... That was the situation where I thought it would be a bad idea hahaha. Next time I'm up ill explore it, I had back tracked to the other trail where I found the gate, and decided to head back down.

you don't need "lt" tires.

you need some all-terrains lol... P rated all terrain tires will be just fine as you most likely wont be towing.

Geoc 06-24-2013 05:46 PM

Maybe I should check out some used tires soon lol.

Cranked my torsions last week, gained about 1.2" in ground clearance. Axle clearance is 9.6inches now :alonehappy:

T4RAWR 07-14-2013 01:30 PM

stopped on the harrison east fsr to secure some equipment.

how was the road into elaho? thinkin of heading up that way in a week or two

Soundy 07-14-2013 10:24 PM

Big group of the BCJC guys went up there a few weeks ago, other than being extremely dusty, they said the road was fine.

Wouldn't mind an Elaho trip soon myself, I've done Britannia and Hale a couple times each now... time for something different!

Zedbra 07-15-2013 06:51 AM

The Elaho side is pretty tame - mostly a bumpy, dusty road. Any 4x4 action is found from splitting off and heading up the hills or down the off-shoots.

PinoyDrifta 07-17-2013 10:53 PM

Did elaho few weeks back didn't get all the way to the tree but I am willing to head back there for a day trip if anyone is down.

Went out this past weekend to Skagit Valley Provincial Park and the Ross Lake campground. Put my new window screens into use and slept in my 4Runner. Was a little warm as I didn't have the sunroof or front screens done yet and no fan, but packing up on Sunday was two minutes of putting my cooler and two chairs into my truck and driving off. Great success...

Gave the truck some more pin striping, courtesy of the road less traveled while getting a Christmas tree with my family. There was a new Ford and a new Dodge parked a few kilometres down the narrow trail - I guess they don't like their trucks to look like a truck. ;)

I decided to get in on the fun in this thread. This is my Forester after getting up Boer Mountain Road - it's a FSR that's mainly used by the MTB club around the area to access their trails and to service a few communications antennas at the top. That's where I stopped to take this picture. Got a few funny looks as it's mostly big HD trucks or lifted Jeeps out where I am, and right now it's mainly quads going to the top like I did.

Subarus are great snow cars - we used to have a FWD-only '82 GL and man, that thing ate snow for breakfast.

T4RAWR 12-02-2013 05:57 PM

ive seen plenty of foresters climbing around on the fsrs. they're great vehicles.
