Costco hands down.

I'll normally spend the little bit extra just to get legs and thighs.

Is it?

The ones I got a few times from Bham didn't taste like they were brinned.

Maybe I just like more saltier foods but the CAD version has more flavour then the US one. YMMV though.

every type of costcos chicken is better than anywhere else imo

the full size breasts with the seasoned rub on them are amazing and even the kirkland canned chicken is really good, and you get a shit load for the price if you dont mind eating canned chicken lol

+1 for Costco chicken

Yes. The one on Still Creek has it. Not sure all locations have it but I have seen them at other locations as well.

If I remember correctly, the Richmond Costco only has whole chickens. No leg/thigh only.

SilverT 06-04-2013 06:28 PM

^ they have legs/thighs only but just in smaller quantities and people tend to buy it quickly

Derek_N84 06-04-2013 07:48 PM

:sweetjesus: dem leg and thighs ...

JACKED 06-09-2013 11:31 PM

wow I always though safeways was pretty dam good. costcos will probably taste like chicken from heaven.

Had a whole Chicken from Thrifty Foods (they are open 24hours) and it was actually pretty good.
Good seasoning, juicy, find it better than save on. $8 box well spent late at night.

Had a Costco Rotisserie chicken after a few years break from it and it has gone down-hill. Chicken has shrunk at least 30% and it's not brine anymore.

tiger_handheld 01-09-2016 12:19 PM

so who's got the best.. lets do like the top 3?

I think they are all pretty similar now (Costco, Superstore, Walmart). Never tried PriceSmart and Save On's. Safeway is bad.

IMASA 01-09-2016 01:48 PM

Costco isn't as good as it used to be. Recently I've had Safeway, Costco and Save-On and Costco is still the best among those 3.

Nabatron 01-09-2016 01:52 PM

surprised none have u guys said whole foods chicken! I mean it is literally half the size of chickens from costco, superstore, iga ect...but its cuz they are organic one i suppose. To me the whole food chicken is pretty good but too expensive hahha

murd0c 01-09-2016 01:56 PM

Fresh Street Farms in Fleetwood has some of the best around and really decent prices for the quality

Verdasco 01-15-2016 07:52 AM

any other recommendations? I can eat a whole chicken for one meal post workout :D

ZN6 01-15-2016 10:10 AM

Urban Fare has like 4 flavours that I like but is expensive. Italian tastes amazing but quantity is small.

If you get a chicken from Costco down in the states, they are huge and look like they're mutant chickens. Although delicious. Can't beat costco value.
