Where do you guys normally donate your unwanted clothes? The items I'm looking to get rid of are in good condition but will have little resale value.
There are many donation bins located around the city but I was hoping to give the clothes to people in need and not to organizations that simply sell your donations for profit. I've looked into Convenant House and Union Gospel Mission but are there any others?
You can usually call Big Brother to pick up items if they're in good condition and they do pick ups in your area (we used to donate our old clothes to big brother when I lived at home)
I know some people might say those clothing bins, try and not...
Not sure if you saw that CBC short doc on them, but pretty scummy. Territory wise, and the millions they make.
I rather put in the extra 10 minutes of driving and donate to the VGH Thift near Main/Broad, or SPCA Thift (one on Victoria drive, near 39th? or the one on West Broadway)
There's also an SPCA thrift store on Edmonds I think? Before it hits 10th. Not sure if it's still there though (I think there also might be one on 6th in New West, but someone who lives there will have to jump in for confirmation).
