Asus MeMO Pad HD 7 $149

same specs as the Nexus 7 except:

Quad-core A7 instead of Tegra 3 (weaker)
5MP rear cam
external SD slot
non-stock Android 4.0 OS (ouch)

launching July with 8GB @ $129 in "developing countries" and 16GB @$149

the flying-off-the-shelf Hisense Sero 7 Pro still edge this with a mini-HDMI + GPS + Android 4.2

Awaiting the battery specs but this looks promising for the price

ASUS MeMo Pad HD 7 coming to the US for $149; emerging markets get 8GB $129 version (hands-on)

Intel Atom Clover Trail+ is x86-based?
wouldn't that have lots of incompatibility on Android?

unless there's someone out there with a confirmed rom that will have the full Android build, i'd avoid it, and get something that has a full build.
