Witness Wanted: Price Smart Food parking lot

Tonight I was at Price Smart Food at Richmond looking for a spot in the parking lot. I was following a Dark Grey 2002–2009 Toyota 4Runner, and all of a sudden it stopped, and backed into my car. My car is a British Racing Green 1991 Miata. Even though I honked at the 4Runner, that lady in front said my honk was not loud enough for her to notice (I didn't even mention I honked at that moment).

Anyhow, if any of you or know anyone have seen this, any help would be much appreciated !

Thanks in Advance ! :clap::clap:

no dash cam? should invest in one... or use your phone and record it...

anyhow, good luck with ICBC..

She's going to say you went too fast and hit her...Then ICBC's going to tell you the driving rules and according to that, you're going to be 100% at fault god dangit. GL with the witness search!

I'm no expert but I believe the rules for an accident plays differently in a parking lot/parkade.

Pretty sure in a parking lot whoever is reversing is most likely at fault, unless she has a solid witness saying you drove into her as she was reversing.

unless she has a solid witness saying you drove into her as she was reversing.:whistle:

Nooooo not your miata! Just be calm voiced and super honest with icbc people, and hopefully they will sniff out the bullshit of her story

Did the C9 back into your front or your back end? If she backed into your front, it should be pretty easy to convince the ICBC adjuster that she was at fault.

Fuck, parking lots are the worst places to have an accident. Like everyone else in this thread mentioned, get a dashcam for the sake of your future. Biggest headache ever dealing with this kind of bullshit. Good luck with it and hope that this fucker gets whats coming.

this parking lot is the worst in richmond, next to aberdeen.

thank you guys for all of your inputs and ideas, let's just hope everybody is honest and get over this soon :)

For the future, always get the other person to sign some kind of statement before you leaves. Say that it is part of the information exchange :whistle:

Ask the store if they have surveillance video?

Funny how the EXACT same thing happened to my brother. Same complex, same scenario. The idiot who backed into her tells ICBC that my brother hit her car even though my brother honked and didn't have time to react. ICBC bought her story and my brother was 100% at fault.
