Thankfully..i have not been in any wrecks and i'm gonna knock on some wood right now. here's a good example of a TL-S getting rammed at a stop light by some dude doing at least 60 MPH....but lets keep this local and YOUR car/former car. http://i1068.photobucket.com/albums/...pse14cfcb1.jpg |
That woukd make a sweet ute project Posted via RS Mobile |
My girlfriend and I had been out east of Chilliwack for a drive taking photos at pretty much every exit. When I came up to Herrling Island the long approach to the turnoff had been cleared of the winter sand just like all the previous exits. The unfortunate exception this time was that the last 25 meters or so and the road itself, not actually cleared at all and were if anything worse than seasonal so when I hit the gravel the car skidded and flew up onto the island where the car teetered for a moment before falling back down onto all four wheels. That caused the only real injury of it too, the girlfriend hit her head when the car came back down. 9 grand later the car was fixed up and driving better than ever thanks to there being next to no OEM parts readily available for the vehicle although the body shop couldn't match the rear bumper colour to save their lives. That didn't get fixed until a tractor trailer rear ended me on Highway 1 the next year. http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x...G0210_0001.jpg http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x...G0195_0001.jpg |

First car, 90 DA. Guy turning left from the opposite direction hit me as I was going straight through. The damage wasn't too bad, but the car itself was worth very little and it ended up being written off. Before: http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/k...C00206edit.jpg After: http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/k...628_214545.jpg http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/k...628_214530.jpg It may be hard to see, but the blue/white thing to the right of the wheel is actually the other car's fender. So sad. :okay: Although, it coulda been worse. I was coming back from dinner and decided to drive that car since we were going camping the next morning. If I had decided to drive my MR2, it could've been that car, not the DA. |

Current car and my one and only at-fault accident. Took the Brunette off-ramp to head to Ikea. Thought the car ahead of me went while there was a giant ass gap in traffic. And the resulting pictures are why you shouldn't assume anything while driving. :okay: https://fbcdn-sphotos-h-a.akamaihd.n..._5725790_n.jpg https://fbcdn-sphotos-h-a.akamaihd.n..._7227143_n.jpg This one is the result of a battery overcharging, we think. Was on my way to a wedding in Leavenworth when it happened. Luckily I was still in Vancouver. http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b3...ps35d5867f.jpg http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b3...ps2de9c602.jpg Tow hitch on a truck backing out of a parking spot took out the side of the Civic. http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b3...ps7cf36f77.jpg http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b3...ps3d2c1fa1.jpg Got run off the road by a drunk driver after a big snow storm. Car got sucked into some slush on the side of the road and ended up hitting the pillar of an overpass on Hwy1. http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b3...psbd386e7b.jpg http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b3...ps1bb66679.jpg |
Some rough stuff there Lomac. I assume you sustained minimal injuries in all those accidents? |
No permanent injuries except for the Jetta. It was my first accident and learned right away that if you see a crash coming, don't lock up and brace your arms on the steering wheel. If messes things up badly. Ten years later, my shoulder is still fucked up. |
http://i209.photobucket.com/albums/b..._8206205_n.jpg Going straight on granville/56ish and a ford explorer turned left and I hit them.. broke my right leg fib&tib...had 2 surgeries because the bone wouldnt grow back together so did a bone graft. woohoo. |
http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a2...57583_1790.jpg TSD Rally a few years back. There was a "squirrel" on the route, and I tried to dodge the poor thing. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a2...6/DSC_0107.jpg Was out for a drive with some friends on the island. Didn't know the road very well + poor weather + driver error = This :okay: |

Accidents from before the car was mine. My parents driving when the accidents happened. First Accident: A Mercedes Benz rear ended another Mercedes Benz at 60 km/h. The second driver was completely distracted and didn't brake at all. We couldn't brake in time and rear ended the second Mercedes Benz. Had to repair most of the stuff under the hood, including replacing a ton of wires that all snapped. Also needed to replace the front windshield which cracked. Total Repair costs for ICBC: $16,000 http://i257.photobucket.com/albums/h...a/IMG_0326.jpg Second Accident: A Jeep rear ends us on the Trans Canada Highway. Had to repair all physical damage, and replace the convertible roof. Total Repair costs for ICBC: $11,000 http://i257.photobucket.com/albums/h.../IMG_07212.jpg Two accidents costing ICBC more to repair than what we bought the car for, yet ICBC refuses to write it off. ICBC logic.. -_- Fortunately, no serious injuries for anyone involved in the two accidents. |

This happened last Wednesday. First car, had it for 2 months. Stop light was broken and I didn't see and thought it was green. Was going about 60 km and slammed the breaks but couldn't stop in time. $9500 of damage, written off. The damage is worse than it looks, the airbag went off. The radiator and A/C need to be fixed. No injuries whatsoever. The Ford F-150 I hit only got minor scratches and dents. http://i.imgur.com/dBuYprU.jpg |
