Anybody keep up with all the cool gadgets that get put on Kickstarter and want to share?
I just read about one that is kind of cool: a USB battery backup for your phone/devices that is also a decent flashlight (not some POS keychain light). Can run 250 lumens for 4 hours or charges an iPhone 5 ~1.6 times.
Kinda neat but I wouldn't spend $50 for it. My phone already doubles as a flashlight when needed and I picked up a 5000mah pack from monoprice for $28.

Your phone's light can't output anywhere near 250 lumens. I'll agree that $50 is expensive for a backup battery, but not for a decent flashlight. (note the $50 option includes the dock and AC adapter. There is a $35 option with just a USB cable for charging).
I also currently own a USB backup battery, made by APC. It's smaller than an iPhone 5, but both kickstarter projects I linked are even smaller.
Anyways, I'm just curious if anyone keeps up with Kickstarter and knows any other cool gadgets on there I should be drooling over.
One of the most successful Kickstarter projects. I was a day 2 backer. Can't be happier with it!
They're going to be launching in Best Buy soon.
I just saw Pebble. Definitely super cool gadget. I'm just not sure if I'd personally get a lot out of it for $150. Lots of nice to have features though and cool geek factor is high.
I'm not much of a photographer but Lumu looks kind of cool. Are light meters handy for digital photography when you can really just snap a photo and see the results instantly?
Pre-ordered the pebble today, feel like adding something different to the watch collection
The pebble is cool, but the display should be better. I'd see what Samsung and Google have in store before putting out the cash
