Nooby Run (stock friendly)

Hello wheelers..thot i'd take a plunge to put together a nooby/stock friendly 4x4 run. a few of us were discussing and thought it would be nice to bring out as many capable offraoding rigs out to "ELAHO" (just off squamish main).

if you have any questions...POST UP! duzn't hurt to ask. date/location listed below:

date: Aug. 18, 2013
Meet time: 0900
meet prior to run: Petro Canada/711 off the hwy (Hwy99 and Garibaldi way)

Regards,

Mike

Pretty much anything is "capable" of Britannia - we saw some guy with a ZIPcar heading down the road past "the deck" to do some shooting in the logged-out area.

Finally... yes pls

A lot of people tend to overestimate the trails (me included). My bro-in-law went on a logging road in a golf and he made through no problem. It was funny because he saw trucks that got stuck along the way.

I've got the tire groover, and we'll turn those race slicks into traction tires!

Would my SX4 with Yokohama Geolanders be able to do this trail?
Manual trans + awd (can switch to awd lock)

A lot of guys from sx4club.com take sx4s offroad...

The only thing is I don't have skid plate or lift kit yet...

matlock,

your car would make it up britannia no problems. probably wanna go slow and careful in some sections though to avoid some minor damage.

so a short cruise around britannia/furry creek and lunch at the deck?

once something is finalized we should post in the social meets section as it gets alot more traffic than here.

maybe others will be interested.

a brief description of the trail, where to meet, what time, etc will be good

disclaimer that some damage and pinstriping could occur is important as well.

Nice, thanks.

Holy cow, I am quite excited. If my schedule actually lines up this could be awesome.

With the dry season, id doubt you even need 4x4. Ground clearance would be enough
we should decide the date soon, and not let it turn into a last minute thing

I will be out of the country Aug 14-17 if that means anything to anyone.

Otherwise, good to go!

What kind of things should we or I bring?

i can feel your excitement reach me through the internet and through my monitor, grab me by the shoulders and shake me screaming "IM SO FUCKING EXCITED"

there should be enough recovery equipment and people there so, lunch, drinks, a camera and some spare clothes will probably be all you need. a gps if you want to save the way points for future use.
