Pitch and Putt Anyone?

I suck at golf. I do like pitch and putt, though.

I used to go often, but not lately. Thought an RS meet one fine morning would be a little different.

My favourite is Stanley Park.

I played at all of them, but not sure if they are still operational

A list from what I remember:

Queen Elizabeth Park
Rupert Park
Kensington
Stanley Park
Murdo Frazer
Central Park

Come to think of it, I can get in as a senior!

I haven't golfed in over 20 years?

So, no ringers. Must be noobs to golf or shitty, like me, LOL. By shitty, I mean, can't get the ball into the air and hit nothing but "worm burners".

I even have extra clubs for you cheap ass Asians or Scottsman (didn't golf start in Scotland?).

Weekends early morning is best. By early, I mean crack of dawn. Weekdays are OK if it's early or late evening.

I'm not desperate for friends or anything. Just want to meet some RS members...... not into hanging out in parking lots and doing basically nothing.

TOS'd 07-17-2013 10:51 PM

I'm down, noob too :)

MG1 07-18-2013 11:01 AM

How noob? Like never held a club in your hands...

rb 07-18-2013 02:41 PM

was just thinking about a pitch and putt meet earlier in the day. Was thinking of Central but its quite busy for a larger group so I was gonna say Kensington.

GLOW 07-18-2013 02:53 PM

FYI - rupert is short but you need to be able to get the ball up in the air, water hazards etc. would not call it 'noob' friendly. kingsinton has some steep hills making it also challenging. central park is most noob friendly (flat with no obstacles) so topping it and letting it roll will still allow you to play. but it is longer than the others. was never a fan of QE or stanely park.
based on my personal opinion back when i used to golf.

So 5:30am?

That's usually when we pack it up at the parking lots, with bellies full of chicken and bbt anyways.

:considered:

Spoiler!

MG1 07-18-2013 06:27 PM

4:30 is crack of dawn this time of year, yes?

So you'll be joining us?

Stanley Park. I have a hole in one at that course. It was a bouncer down the hill, LOL.

Glow, I can get it up......... just not all the time. Hee hee hee........

Central has lots of obstacles: trees, water.... cars.... :fullofwin: I'm not familiar with where the one in Stanley Park is, but I'm down (as long as it isn't this weekend... I'm headed to Portland at 6am)

You obviously no frugal Asian. It's not open is what it's all about........ we hop fence and golf for freeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!

At least that was the case way back. Maybe they have armed guards nowadays.... who knows?

I will find out when they are open.

they got pills for that...:fullofwin::badpokerface:

in that case i would say rupert is a fun course...short but like i said you gotta make your shots on some holes or kiss the ball goodbye

kensington IMO is the most challenging on your list due to many holes with incline and decline (declines are harder IMO) and curvy greens.

MG1 07-19-2013 06:15 AM

But, Stanley Park has/had cute joggers...........which by now would be awesome milfs/cougars/wildcats.

Just kidding. I haven't been there in a long ass time, but I do know for a fact the scenery there would be the best. Nature, amongst all that concrete.

Rupert is easy to get to for me. Of all the times I've been there, I've only lost my balls once or twice into that stupid pond.

tiger_handheld 07-19-2013 07:14 AM

down depending on the day. not noob , kind of shitty.

MG1 07-19-2013 08:26 AM

If you guys are serious, we can do Rupert Park tomorrow.

Earlier, the better.

snails 07-19-2013 08:29 AM
