| Where to buy comfortable black shoes for work?
Where to buy comfortable black shoes for work? I want something that is lightweight and comfortable to walk on all day. It has to look something like dress shoes. Thanks.

The Bay is where i got my shoes from.
something like these http://www.thebay.com/webapp/wcs/sto...prtslp-blk--24
These things are the lightest and most comfortable shoe, let alone dressy type shoe, i have ever worn
The sole is made by Adidas.

Blundstone Chiseltoe. More of a boot than a shoe, but also very lightweight. With boots you can wear any color socks you want lol

The Bay. Online or in store.
I bought Rockports. They aren't the prettiest shoes but they look dressy and I can stand 8+ hours in them.

I've been wearing the same pair of aldo dress shoes from 6 years ago (i think it was for high school grad or a wedding I attended). They look like the pair ruthless posted above and it was like 50-80$. Ugly shoes, shitty leather, but they have been holding up and are pretty damn comfy once I've broken into them.

rockport and clarks. both offer good price (for the quality) and great comfort.

I wear the Ferragamo Fantino and it is the most comfortable true dress shoe that I have ever worn. It has a rubber sole that has proven to be quite durable for Vancouver, even in rain and salt on the ground, and the shoe breaks in so beautifully to your own feet. I bought my pair new on eBay for $199usd and they are absolutely so much better than dress shoes I've bought in the past for half the price. Heavily heavily recommended.

+1 on Ferragamo's.
By far, the best pair of dress shoes I've owned to date. 6+ years and going on mine.

Allen Edmond's or Aldens.
In general for footwear, spend a bit more right at the start instead of spending $100 every year replacing the same Moore's bought shoes.

Do note a few things though with the above brands:
1) good year welted shoes will break in differently than cheaply glued together shoes. In fact, you may notice that it'll hurt your feet for a couple weeks. that's normal. After that though, it will conform to your feet and be more comfortable with time. in fact, more comfortable than sneakers with constant wear.
2) try on different AE's or Aldens. Each will offer different Lasts. the shape of your foot will either like it or not.. and sizing will also run differently for each last.
Oh yeah, and generally speaking, get cedar shoe trees.
