they fight better than NBA players :lawl:

am i the only one that's kind of annoyed at the team mate of the guy that got beat down?
his team mate in the yellow jersey just stood there, watch it all unfold, and continues to just stand there while his team mate is getting a beatdown :derp:

not saying jump in and save him with an on bak kick but try to pull the guy off or something like the aggressor's team mate did.

I honestly think fights in badminton are so rare, everyone just froze and didn't even know what to do in a situation like this :lol

that was hilarious and the guy running away swatted him a couple of times with the racquet :lol shame he got kicked

dont see why both teams were dq'd

MG1 07-24-2013 06:43 PM

Just drop the gloves, take the helmets and elbow pads off and fight............ wait, this isn't hockey. LOL

Man, if a hockey player ran away from a fight like that, they wouldn't have to worry about no ban.... wouldn't be able to show their face in any arena ever again.

I think both teams were disqualified because they were both warned by the official to play nice earlier. It does take two to tango (tangle).

Such a violent sport.........

..........question is, did you run?

or were you the one doing the chasing.

white rocket 07-25-2013 08:12 AM

Hilarious. Looked like a couple of chicks scrapping. I think my mom could have beatdown either one of them. LOL!

asahai69 07-25-2013 09:18 AM

neither it was during game play. someone needed a 4th for doubles and asked me to join. my partner was noob and tried to get in front of me to smash the shuttle cock and smashed my head instead. it was hard enough it made me to see stars.

What is the full story? From that video it looks like the birdie dropped on the orange side so they lost? Then he went apeshit on the yellow guy.
I really don't understand why BOTH teams got DQ'd ... shouldn't it have fallen on the aggressor? Sure they both got warnings for "verbal altercation" but it was clearly the orange dude attacking while the other tried to avoid him.
Maybe he did it on purpose expecting to get his ex-partner disqualified cuz he couldn't beat him on the court lol ...

Michael Jordan and Kevin Garnett definitely would get flagged every game haha ...

update:
aggressor got 2 years ban while the guy that got jumped got 3 months
Watch: Thai badminton players banned for on-court fight at Richmond Oval - BC | Globalnews.ca

Quote:

Two Thai badminton players have been banned from competition for fighting on the court during the Canadian Open held at the Richmond Oval.

The Badminton World Federation (BWF) gave Bodin Issara a two-year ban, while his former partner, Maneepong Jongjit, was given a three-month suspension.

It was during a change in a match on July 21 that Issara lunged at Jongjit, chasing him onto another court and then punching him several times.

Issara needed two stitches to his ear and both of the teams were disqualified. The two are former partners and split in January.

The BWF and the Badminton Association of Thailand (BAT) investigated the incident, and found Issara was the main aggressor in the fight.

The BAT had originally asked for Issara to be banned for life, but when the 22-year-old admitted he was the aggressor, the punishment was dropped to a two year ban.

fliptuner 08-07-2013 02:06 PM

Should've been lifetime for the aggressor and nothing for the other guy.

jeedee 08-07-2013 02:17 PM

3 months for getting a beatdown

:derp:
