Need some ideas, sound deadening spare wheel well

I've started with the sides, I have a rectangle piece remaining.

How should I go about doing the spare wheel well? Should I make slits?

Here's what my trunk looks like:

I would do the knock test. Knock on each panel around the trunk area and whatever makes a buzz or a hollow sound, attach some sound deadener to that! No point in going over areas that are already pretty solid.

I completed this project. Cut rectangular strips and the overall product came out well!
