multi vitamins

Anyone have any recommendations for a multi-vitamin?

Any heath food store I go into will only try and pitch whatever one they sell and claim it's the best. My doctor wasn't much help either.

If anyone has any thoughts, please share.

I've been contemplating on buying that, but do you guys actually take the recommended 6 tablets/serving? I'm sure it's been asked, but seems like a lot of tablets all at once.

Just in case you were thinking that it's 6 tablets at once - Controlled Labs defines a "serving" as for a full day, so you would take 3 tablets twice a day - although I've taken 2 tablets thrice daily before. The joint and digestive complexes in the formula are the reason for the increased serving size over other common multivitamins.

^ Yeah 6 servings a day is what I was going off of, but it seems excessive for me. But thanks for the reasoning behind the increased serving size.

Careful with Orange Triad. The pill is very big, I had problems swallowing them and cracking them in half made it worse because of the sharp ends after.

I gave my bottle of orange triad to a friend after 2-3 pills.

orange triad works.....i would walk 7 km up hills and my knees would bug the fuck out of me,well enough to feel them turn sore the next day...after taking the vitamin my knees felt okay & i was able to walk up mountains 21 days straight no problem being tour guide.

energy levels?,yeah there higher...i would wake up at at 3 am feeling good & ready for the day but i'd def put my head down for more sleep after feeling "Ready for the day".

tips?:..drink plenty of water,& ALWAYS take them with meals and never on a empty.

it's almost impossible to try taking the pills dry swallowing them, def take a jug of water and u can get 3 down in one go...take a big one too cause i tried taking a sip and i almost threw up with them stuck in my throat

Just eat lots of food

If you are lacking in anything, it's most likely the minerals magnesium and zinc. If you want to supplement those, it would be a good idea. Excess vitamins are pissed out; excess Mn and Zn help you sleep and poo.

ZMA is an 'all in one' that contains both of these but is more expensive than just getting them separately. Make sure they are chelates (so the mineral will have "ATE" at the end. Aspartate, Sulphate, Malate, etc)

i use the gnc brand. its accessible and not super expensive (although more expensive than brands like centrum, kirkland, etc...)
also its 2 (fairly big) pills a day, instead of like 6-8 like a lot of the other quality vitamins.
i used this guide in helping me decide.

lol true, but like you said, more does not equate to better right?

would be a good complement to a diet if the person looks forward to taking the supplements
