the last date you went on

similar to the "where to take your SO to", what was the last date you went on?

dinner and a movie?
sea wall + aquarium?
make dinner together + drive in?

lets hear it!
(if anyone is ever stuck with ideas for a date, hopefully here they can find something to spark interest )

my last date:

cactus club for dinner, then went to watch a movie, followed by a late night walk down Kingsway doing some late night geocaching.

what was yours?

So that would be in 1998, or 15 years ago?

I've always thought dinner and a movie was a terrible idea for a first date. You spend the first half shovelling food into your mouth, not really talking, and then the second half you spend staring at a screen, not talking. I'd rather do the whole coffee and go for a walk thing, or even Castle Fun Park/PNE.

My last first date consisted of baking Yorkshire pudding together, hanging out on the patio with a beer, and stargazing until three in the morning.

my original date of making dinner and tye dyeing shirts went through the window...gf's doing a photoshoot so she wont be done for a while...

so instead (she don't know it yet) made reservations to a greek restaurant, and during dinner im gonna make her play a little game with me

were each going to take tabs of paper...maybe 4 -6 each, and write an activity on it, fold it up, empty out one of her purse pouches, throw them in, shuffle them around and pull one out. if either one of us doesn't want to do that activity, the other person gets 1 point. during an activity if one person doesn't want to do it anymore...other gets 1 point...end of the night, whoevers got the least points will get to dare the other to do whatever they want lol

my tabs im writing

-truth or dare (for the hell of it)
-karaoke while sober
-skinny dipping in a remote part of a lake
-wear white t-shirts and we each have to draw a portrait of the other person, whoevers sucks the most, they have to wear it in public tomorrow at the zombie walk
-do a lot of PDA in a public place (I know she'll bail instantly on that one...free point for me )

lets see how tonight goes lol

Week ago today.

Went to Boston Pizza for drinks and appetizers. Both got drunk, walked her home, kiss goodnight, played grabby hands in the process.

Probably won't go much further than that, not really that interested anymore. Good chic though.

Not a huge fan of whole movies and dinner thing either.

Went to Blenz and chit chatted for few hours. Don't see anything happening though sadly.

A first date at a dessert place like Thierry or Sweet Revenge is a great way to make an impression. Most women like sweet things and a dessert place won't break the bank either. When I was a bachelor, women were always pleased when I took them to a dessert place for a first date.

With that said, does a night on the town count as a "date"? Reflections at the Hotel Georgia for drinks, then to Glowbal Grill for dinner, and some whiskey for a nightcap.

My last date we went to the movies because I asked. Man was it boring. It wasn't like back in high school anymore where I rather sit somewhere quiet with someone and still have a good time.

I also don't think I'll prefer the coffee chit chat thing. Need activities, hands-on, always moving and doing stuff.

My SO and I go to Costco every week. Can't beat $1.50 for a hot dog and pop. Sometimes we splurge and get ice cream.

Anything can be fun with the right company.
