Not very familiar with Popcorn. It seems to use a lot of proprietary components which is a nightmare if it's a low selling, niche product because of support. The few amazon reviews of it validates my point.

If you don't really need the fancy lcd and hardware buttons why not look into building an XBMC/HTPC box?

If all you're doing is watching movies from torrents... a no-fuss 99 dollar WDTV with a hard-drive is all you need.

Well i like it because it has the blu ray combo option. I havent found any other media players with that option
