Cracked s4 front screen

Does anyone know where the cheapest place to repair front screen s4? I jsut dropped on cement and it cracked. I looked on craigslist, seems like its $260 ? Last time i fixed my iphone, it was $30 bucks.

Anyone know any cheaper places?

Thanks

It's because the glass, digitizer, lcd are fused together making it a costly replacement.

Mine cracked not even a week of having it. Shifty part is that I dropped it only an inch off the ground with a shock resistant case.

I replaced my S3's screen by myself and I assume the S4 is no different.

Here is a little insight if you're gonna do it yourself.

It's not going to be the same as the original because in between the glass and the actual LCD screen, there's this rubbery film that connects the glass to the LCD for better touch response I assume. Without it, the response is super shitty. If you watch some of the youtube videos, you'll see what looks like shattered glass. It's actually the rubber film.

I don't think it's possible to even get this rubber film and apply it by yourself. It's about 2mm thick, and it appears to be applied on by a chemical fluid and letting it dry over time. It's super clear.

I spent about $20 to replace mine twice (fucked it up the first time). Now the touch is not very responsive. The glass you order might come with a double sided cut out adhesive thing. Just use the border part of it, because the screen part will leave gluey adhesive look on the actual glass.

Is it as good as it originally was? How responsive is the touch and swipe and stuff?

Yep. They're all fused together as one piece now. VERY difficult to take apart. I bought mine for $206 USD which is probably the cheapest you'll get. You'll need a US mailing address for it though.
