Just to clarify everything for everyone. All the bylaw officers and peace officers that dish out the parking tickets or traffic violations can be subjected to collection. Anything related to Diamond Parking or Impark handing out "tickets" holds no legal value unless they take you to court and prove to the judge you owe them "$XXX.XX" amount of dollar. The judge may tell you to pay the principle cost which is probably a few dollars but 100% of the time the case is thrown out. Impark has tried take legal action against someone in the past back in 2004 but that was thrown out within the first 20 min. They only use scare tac tics against the average people. Iqor Collection, City Collection, and Harassment Calls are just a few things they do to grab your money.

LOL "City Collection" I saw that name on a collection letter I got from impark.

They be some crafty buggers to get ppl thinking their somehow affiliated with the "City of Vancouver"

It's a pretty good business, I guess.
I say most people pay their tickets and IMPARK is fine with that. I wouldn't bother chasing after people who didn't pay. Just collect on those who do.

what if it gets forwarded to the Canadian Credit Corporation?

Hondaracer 10-28-2014 03:26 PM

I got a ticket at that stupid Wendy's on cambie right before the bridge

The ticket is for "leaving the parking lot" as I parked there, ate Wendy's then while waiting for my GF I went into home depot across the street. Fucking joke

So these private companies won't collect on tickets if I don't pay? It's fucking $68 wtf..

jinxcrusader 10-28-2014 04:15 PM

@Hondaracer I don't think that's an impark lot.

The joke of a company that tries to act like it's a gov't agency? They can fuck themselves.

Send company a copy of your Wendy's receipt and I'm pretty sure they'll cancel your ticket, 'cause in your case, you did purchase food at wendy's

Hondaracer 10-28-2014 08:37 PM

hchang 10-28-2014 09:39 PM

to be fair - I'm pretty sure the sign on the lot there says you can park there "while you are dining at Wendy's".

They're pretty ruthless at that one lot, but everybody parks there and runs across the street to home depot or starbucks.

Don't need to pay for impark tickets

racerman88 10-30-2014 07:24 AM

If you have your food receipt that will help.

Private parking lot tickets have nothing to do with your credit.

The only parking tickets that you need to worry about are the city issued ones.

this!

fuckin private lots, making you pay $70+ just because you left their lot for a minute, or you did some other stupid shiet.

Only one you should worry about paying are the City ones, but they are usually like more reasonable at $30-40 so it's not as bad. And I don't feel as bad paying them because it's going to the cities coffers instead of some private company that gouges you up the ass.
