Disputing a Impark Ticket

Has anyone disputed an Impark Ticket before? I believe I was wrongfully ticketed today and I want to dispute it. However, there isn't mention anywhere on my ticket that I can dispute it. So my impression is that, if you're fine then u either shut up and pay up or risk receiving a call from a collection agency.

And say, if I choose not to pay and ignore it. Has anyone actually received a call from a collection agency regarding Impark?

Thanks!

I have 10+ outstanding Impark tickets, dating back to 2008, but have not had any contact with a collection agency. I have disputed Impark tickets, too. I simply called Impark, laid out the circumstances, and they canceled the ticket.

I think it says how to dispute on the back of the ticket

Just don't pay for it. I haven't paid for an impark ticket since the first one I've gotten. There's a bunch of threads on here that talk about it.

Just be careful though, they CAN tow your car if you have more than 3 or so tickets in the same lot. You don't have to pay for the ticket but you will have to pay for the tow.

If they call you just tell them that you only want to be contacted by letter. Throw said letters.

I had them cancel 2 tickets, just call their office in vancouver and explain what happened. what u do?

so they can only tow if you have more than 3 in the same lot? so u can have 2-3 in different lots and they won't do anything? if so, that's good info to know lol..and kind of a joke on their part lol

ya bro got 2 tix $30

vafanculo 09-27-2013 09:55 PM

Easiest way to dispute. Walk to your garbage can, rip the ticket up and toss it in there.

Unless you are a ticket shark, collections WILL hound you, but, they WONT collect or take you to court. Just change your license plate for $18.

Not sure if 3 is the magic number but, yes they will eventually tow.

Ive been getting ticketed by impark every wednesday for the last month because i think they have a new patroller who doesn't know the rules; just call the number on the ticket and you have an option to discuss the ticket with someone and tell them whats up

Xu.Vi 09-28-2013 12:53 AM

This won't show up on government documentation such as crossing customs, right?:derp::derp:

It wont show up on govt documents. But if they were issued by the city, then......

I disputed a ticket from Impark before when I paid for the wrong stall. Call them up explained my situation and they revoked the charge and asked me to be more careful next time. Years ago while working they didn't give the correct parking tag and got ticketed for parking in wrong lot. I let my boss handle that one.

i paid for the wrong stall like twice in riverrock casino skytrain parking lot. same thing happened lol

then i kept parking in this one stall where i paid it properly each time but it kept ticketing me. also in that parking lot. i would just find the nice little indian man who tickets people and explain and he'd see that their system is whack and he'd cancel my tickets. i recommend finding the nearest little indian man at your parking lot and getting to know him - it is the best way to deal with parking tickets, while meeting a new little indian man friend.

Parked in Burnaby General Hospital and paid for parking stall twice.
Impark ticketed me. I have receipt of payment. I think I paid for wrong stall in haste since there was family emergency in ER or they looked at wrong stall as the numbers are blurry.
Should I call bby location or vancouver location to dispute.

Lomac 06-11-2014 10:40 PM

Don't bother. :lol

I once got ticketed for not paying for a parking pass. In Kelowna. At the exact same time I was busy working in Langley.

just a FYI if the companies decide to send your tickets to collections, they do show up on your credit bureau

well depending on how good your credit is, 1 minor traffic ticket collection might not affect you when you're looking for a loan

but if your credit report isn't exactly spot clean then people will take it into consideration

Here are some answers. I believe there is a number you can call to dispute.

Recently, I got towed the next day when I had one outstanding ticket at a lot I parked frequently. Not worth the tow and impound charges. Needless to say I paid my tickets ASAP. Could be 1 strike and your out kind of thing now.

Private parking lot tickets have nothing to do with your credit.

The only parking tickets that you need to worry about are the city issued ones.

bing 06-12-2014 12:29 AM

Had around $2000 in parking tickets on my old plate (I have pics). Credit was never affected.

I only pay the city ones.
