Seriously.

Sorry...maybe they still had their thing going in the 70's, its just hard to tell in the decade of dreck of what stood out in terms of a sedan you could park your house in.

The 80's? luxurious and prestigious? no. They rebadged a cavalier and said 'fuck it, they'll buy anything" and people didn't. The eldorado was a fucking land whale for old men.

The 90's. They get a solid engine. The northstar is a solid, semi modern engine for the times. Build quality? Still crap.

The last 10 years has seen some great new caddies come out, but, while I think they are a better brand, I think they pale against the europeans in terms of quality, prestige and 'value' to their customer. And this from a person that doens't particularly care for euro cars.

:/ I know I've been looking at a 53' Series 62 convertible the past couple of weeks that someone offered..

What kind of shape is it in? They can be a choice ride, but can also cost a fortune to build. With that much metal to move, you aren't getting a 500hp performance engine, you are getting a 500hp "back it out the drive" engine /hyperbole.

I always loved the escalades, I prefer the previous gen's rear.

But the front looks fucking awesome.

if you compare the new Escalade and Suburban, GM tried so hard to differential both models. It IS a box, that's for sure, but what else could do to a SUV. If you check out the BMW 3 series wagon, they also look the same over the years.

Those new pics look alright. The wheels are kinda plain, but that is an easy fix.

Not a fan of the Escalades due to the 'lifestyle' they represent and the in your face bling.. though I like the GMT900 based Yukon Denalis. Has 90% of luxury (captain seats in the rear are god sent for roadtrips).
They're also good for towing. The lesser Yukons/Tahoe's with the 5.3 cylinder deactivation makes for a decent hwy cruiser/towing rig.

Too bad they never offered the Duramax HD/Allison tranny on the 1500 series trucks.

Minimal surface rust, frame and suspension completed and apparently powdercoated. Body attached to frame with doors hung. Driveline not attached to the car, interior not finished and brake and fuel lines need to be run. Original engine and transmission running fine apparently. Interior needs finishing and the top is missing..

Need space in my garage too :/
