Holm had great footwork at the start of the fight. She kept her distance from Rhonda, dancing around the octagon, and waiting for her opportunities to strike Rhonda.
Then all of a sudden, Wham!, that straight left at Rhonda's face. Rhonda couldn't connect with the hook. That left kick to Rousey's head sealed the win.
I thought that if Rousey couldn't turn this fight into a ground attack, and put Holm into submission, then Holm would have a chance to win this fight.
UFC shocker!

Holm was an absolute technician! What a beautiful thing to watch. She played Ronda like a fiddle. Her footwork made Ronda miss her strikes by a mile.
Rousey should've focused more on trying to grapple.
As much of a beast Holm is, the women's bantamweight division will fall into obscurity without Rousey as top dog.
The UFC better build Page and Sage up real carefully...but as long as they've got McGregor, the UFC will still have a huge draw. And I've got a feeling McGregor will stay around for a very long while.
