Read jalopnik's article about the same abandoned cars, made it a couple paragraphs in before I was like nope nope

This is circulating as well..apparently the owner fled from Greece as a result of the economic crisis there..

"Only a small minority of cars go to museums and to owners that treat them like kings. Most race cars have a destination that is far less glorious, and end up forgotten. If you are a petrol head, advise to prepare psychologicall before seeing the following images. Several cars are from the glories of Le Mans to the group B cars of WRC"

People who can afford to buy those exotic cars can care less about selling them or fixing them up.

Think about it this way, from average joe's perspective..
Just like how some people have several thousand $$ RC cars, aircrafts, few thousand $$ Mountain Bikes, BMX, and I have even seen people with 10 or 15 motorcycles.

Sure, those things worth thousands of $$ and worth 5 figure price tag if you combine them all.
But we have our life and don't really wanna deal with or don't have time to fix it, fix it up and sell it or just sell it.

I'm sure you've seen people with several thousand $$ worth of something that they never use in their garage or back yard, just collecting dust and rust, etc.

Same as those exotic cars. To rich people, those cars are just like expensive mountain bikes, RC cars, motorcycles, etc... just like how we could sell them if we want to, but we just never do because we're lazy or not that desperate to sell immediately.

There's a goldmine of opportunity in those cars. Literally millions of dollars for someone who could find them and bring them back to life. Unreal.

Kind of wonder why people don't try to save the cars if they know the location, I understand that many of them are beyond repair, but parting out some of those ferraris for example could net you a ton of money
