Right now the mini retina is grayed out, as the stores don't have their stock yet.

If you are getting one and not upgrading might as well get the best one available, the speed wise the thing is amazing it's fast and the battery life is great.

But if you're upgrading from an iPadHD then perhaps you can wait... but if you are spending the money might as well get the newer one (resell is great on these things too)

^Thanks for the reply. I was thinking the same thing which led me to look into the air. I am also guessing that the next ipad will just have a better camera + touchID so it wouldn't be a bad thing to buy the one right now...

^ Don't waste money on a non-A7 iPad. Developers are already starting to code for the A7 and 64bit. Next year Apple will only be selling 64bit devices with maybe one "cheap" iPhone that's still 32bit. All the latest and greatest Apps will be 64 bit soon making older devices less useful.

Camera? People take pics with their tablets? I also think TouchID will be an iPhone exclusive. Your phone is your personal device tied to a single person with all your contacts, banking information for mobile payments and so on. It makes sense to have more security on your phone than your tablet.

Figured that but I didn't think it would come straight from the factory. I figured it would have been shipped from a US warehouse like my macbooks. I've never ordered an apple product on the first day haha.

same thing happen to my iphone 5s. Don't expect it to come early though. My Iphone5s should have been ship out yesterday and deliver but is still in UPS wearhouse in Richmond. Call them and they refuse to let me to pick it up due to being an apple product and they have tons of those being deliver and handle.

If I don't get it deliver today I am just going to refuse it and go to the store and pick one up. It doens't take 2 days to sort out an order and have it deliver.......

Are 5S even still in stock locally? Last I heard, they are still quite low/no in stock beside the occasional 64gb space grey.

Not sure about the stock but taking 2 days for the order to be deliver is pretty bab. It arrive at Richmond yesterday morning. Still at Richmond......

UPS has to do all the customs clearance paperwork. Lots of times it'll take two or three days. Keep in mind it was also a long weekend so things are likely backed up.

Last gen cases won't work, the size of the ipad doesn't work.

Stock of cases in stores is limited right now, mostly just the overpriced apple cases and smart covers.

On my old ipad I used the Logitech ultrathin keyboard cover. Was awesome.
Logitech's folio cases are also great as well.
