I leased the car because I loved the look and I wanted to know what owning a new BMW was like. The car couldn't chirp the tires into second after a few months of owning it and everything about the car was pretty numb. The e-diff sucks.

Having said that, I loved the interior, seats, stereo, brakes, looks, handling, and ride.

Worst parts were the engine and a close second, the diff.

The stock N54 has no top end either, the power dies right at 5500 RPM.

What's your definition of a fun motor? just wondering.

Bumper looks similar to the M4 concept bumper.

Overall I like the car, it looks better than the 1 series imo.

I would add $10-15k to that for Canadian pricing... I'm confused, is this supposed to replace the 1 series?

Edit: Tequila beat me to it

the 228i is pretty quick too.. lol 0-60 5.4 seconds.. but inline 4 turbo vs inline 6 turbo... next car is gonna be a tough decision...

Energy 10-24-2013 03:11 PM

Ooooh the M235i gets a standard mechanical LSD too. No more silly electric LSD.

StylinRed 10-24-2013 04:00 PM

the numbers are nice and it looks better than the cla etc imo but meh

i like the modern line a bit more but its not going to be available over here

Domani 10-24-2013 07:22 PM

looks like an one sized down version of the e92.

Timpo 10-24-2013 07:34 PM

ok seriously what the fuck is 2 series and 4 series?? They're fucking 1 and 3 series!!

Seems like there's naming crisis going on nowadays...just like Infiniti Q50. It's a G37 goddamn it!

too_slow 10-24-2013 07:43 PM

I want a hatch. I really want the new front from the 2 to trickle down to the M135i. Love the hatch, love the drivetrain, ABSOLUTELY HATE THE FRONT

http://www.themotorreport.com.au/con...01a_1-1030.jpg

Maybe I will trade in my S3 for an LCI m135i

They can charge more money with a series change, for example the 4 series coupe is much more than the previous gen 3 coupe.

so bmw has 1-8 covered? only leaves 9 series :lawl:

tofu1413 10-24-2013 11:16 PM

styling is much more aggressive if compared model to model.

Front bumper alone is more racy looking than the standard 135i M sport / 135is. That 2 series press car does have some dinky looking wheels though.

wonder how would a M2 look like..

Both great engines but there's just so many amazing ones. Very narrow minded.

BMW should start building more exciting cars...not just your everyday sedans and coupes.
