2014 Mazda 3

I know it's out for a while now, but I just saw a few videos on the 2014 mazda 3, seems like a very nice car compared to the 2013 version. First they got rid of the smiley face. 2nd, the 2.5 skyacti engine in the mazda 6 185 hp, 183 tq must feel really nice in the mazda 3.

Anyone has test driven it yet?

I went to the test-drive event in Pitt Meadows awhile ago, the GT w/ the 2.5L is awesome! I thought this gen drove and handled alot better than the previous.

The current Mazda 3 hands down is the clear winner against the competition. Amazing interior, great price, great fuel economy and the exterior looks pretty good. The only drawback is you'll see one every block.

Saw the new Mazda 3 in person. Looks very sharp and interior is surprisingly luxurious for its class.

sat in a base model at richmond mazda. the fins for fans is so flimsy, it was already broken.
u can def tell where they cut costs in certain parts of the interior, the flimsy ass fins is the most noticable tho. Otherwise the interior is really nice, with soft touch plastic all along the dashboard.

I guess the 2.0 skyacti engine will do just fine as well with 155hp and 150 tq. The GT trim is super nice with the 2.5, but it is also 100kg heavier than the 2.0. Not to mention the 26k price tag.

Did you test drive the 2.0L as well? If so, did you feel any noticeable difference?

Didn't know nowadays they define "build properly" a car with massively oversized wheels + stretched tires running -100 camber.

Well I finally got to test drive the new 2014 Mazda3 GT.

First impressions, looks great in and out for a sub $30,000 car. It has enough power for some fun around the town or outside of it and I don't think I'd even bother looking at other cars like the Civic or Eleantra if I was buying a new car.

Review: 2014 Mazda 3 GT

Got to drive a GS model for about an hour. I like it a lot, would take it over a Civic any day of the week. Interior felt and looked very nice especially for it's price and it's got decent power. Extremely comfortable and quiet inside. One minor thing that I'd change in the GX and GS model is to have the tachometer in the middle like the GT but there's a digital tachometer if you're worried it doesn't have one which I originally thought.

Its better than ford focus, elantra, jetta 2.5, but not much else.

The test drive event worked!

So, who drives a 2014 mazda 3 GT here? It got my attention since I'm looking for a newer car. Now, I've been reading about the TSB about ticking noise on the dash area on mazda forums and I'm concerned about it. Care to share your experience?

Also, is it a good car to keep for 10 years or so? (never had mazda before).

its pretty nice, i'd consider it over others in the same segment

the eps is quite nicely dialed in and weighted well, i hate eps, particularly the frs eps

the autotragic is terrible but that goes for any car

it handles quite well and is very nimble, got to beat the snot out of it through a slalom
