8:15am start for the 3rd and 4th runs for the women's bobsled. Kaillie Humphries and Heather Moyse are currently in 2nd place. They won gold in 2010.

Do the Dutch win all the time in long track speed skating because they know how to sharpen blades? Our athletes are pretty good and they train hard. It seems we have technical problems - wrong wax, poor skate sharpening, etc. When races are won in thousandths of a second, I believe the equipment plays a large part - last piece of the puzzle, IMHO.

In other news, Jamaican bobsled team qualified for this year's Olympics because the Dutch team pulled out due to their team not meeting strict national governing body standards. The Jamaican bobled team finished in last place htis year, but this was their first time in 12 years to go to the Winter Olympics. There was rumour floating around prior to the Olympics that "Insane" Bolt was going to be on the team. That, would have been totally awesome, yeah?

did anyone watch the finn/russia hockey game live? they were saying on the radio that there was footage of putin holding his head in his hands or doing some sort of facepalm? T or F?

I wish I had multiple TV's. While we were watching ice hockey, the American stations were showing womens bobsledding.
Trying to get NHK and other stations, but no luck.
