I agree, the visuals were really nice in Sochi. The Beijing games really brought projected images (the scroll painting) to the world stage. 6 years later, Sochi took it to another level, almost every performance had projected images and it greatly enhanced the visuals. My favourite was how they showed the geographic map of the country during the Parade of Nations.

I hate to be "that guy", but I totally called Sage winning slopestyle. Dude kills it.

He was definitely the most creative, I think mcmorris had a way cleaner run though. Either way, the riding in it was awesome and it was fun to watch.

Don't know if it's available as a stream but that "making a mark" hour long peice of mcmorris before the final was awesome and made me really pull for the guy as Somone who doesn't follow snowboarding, really great story

I love Mcrib. He's like the antithesis of shaun white and the represents snowboarding is such a positive way. Huge reason I wanted him to win. The snowboard world is a bit up in arms right now. People love that kid and wanted to see him win. Everyone wants shaun gone as the face of snowboarding to the public that don't know it and Mark is the replacement.

I'm no expert on skating, but for my money, the American chick Ashley Wagner walked off with the whole thing with that performance to the Shine On remix.

I'm watching the CBC feed live online. Is it just me or is there no commentary? Seems so weird not having someone talking about what's going on while watching it.

Looking forward to the Filipino figure skater and the real life Dos Equis man competing.
