birthday cake!
was wondering where you people get your birthday cakes? any good reasonably priced ones? i know each has their own preferences but i'm looking for something like a chiffon or pavlova cake. thanks!

I've recently tried a cake from butter tartes... it was an apple pie cake (not sure what the exact name was) but here is the link to their FB page..

I've only had one cake from them... it was good... it was for my mom's bday

Fratellis bakery on commercial drive for Italian cream puff cakes

Diplomats in Richmond (end of 3 or 2 road by the water) make killer cakes too

The one i get for my bday every year is a coffee napoleon (coffee cake with napoleon cake layers) from Anna's. YMMV though, since the last 2 years they honestly didn't know what the eff I was talking about, even though I've bought it from the same place for years.

With butter cream. mmmm
