^ I was just going to post that.

More and more news sites are saying that's the case, but all citing TMZ. Though allegedly a VP from Columbia Tristar offered the following tweet:

Quote:

Senior Vice-President at Colombia Tristar Pictures DeVon Fraklin tweeted: "Condolences to the family of Paul Walker. Our prayers are with him and his FF at this difficult time".

for those wondering 3/4 of the film is supposedly already filmed except for the last action scene in Dubai

What are they going to do, kill him off in the movie?

The writers probably don't even know yet. Sounds like the actors and stuff have all said they won't be returning to the filming for the foreseeable future. They were meant to fly out to Atlanta to film this week, but that is no longer happening.

The movie is on hold indefinitely, until Universal decides how to proceed and the writers find a way to write themselves out of this tragedy.

The movie will undoubtedly be dedicated to Paul.

I think it'll be damn tough to rewrite even if the direction is just to have the character die in a car crash.......he's such a major character of the whole franchise that it'll be hard. Unless they kill him off early in FF7....sorta like what happened to Channing Tatum in GI Joe 2, but then they probs have to edit the fuck out the the rest of the movie or refilm a bunch of stuff.

3/4 of the film has been filmed already but IMHO they should kill the character off, others have suggested they should just say he "retired with his family" but i think that's a stupid idea as it doesn't seem to be able to work and it would screw Jordana Brewster out of being in a sequel and above that it would leave Hollywood the opportunity to recast the role in the future
Walker is Brian O'Connor and imo the most respectful thing to do would be to kill his character off

They reportedly haven't filmed the final action sequence yet, they should use a double and have Statham kill the character or something.

AzNightmare 12-02-2013 04:37 PM

If they can rewrite the story so Brian dies in a car crash (sort of like Han's death), it would be the most respectful thing to do.

Dies doing what he loved, IRL, and in character.

Exactly what I was thinking

bloodmack 12-03-2013 07:28 PM

except hans death wasn't a total accident..

rsx 12-03-2013 07:51 PM

Would it be sensitive to kill him off in a car crash? Hmm. I'd feel a bit weird about it. I'd rather have him walk away with his family...
