The American SS is the exact equivalent of the Holden Commodore SS-V that is sold in Australia. Only thing it lacks is a manual and vibrant body colours.

As for the cosmetic bits, it's been Americanized for sure but that can be easily fixed. The Chevy needs to have darker headlight surrounds as well.

The Commodore is in jeopardy anyway. Either it will die in 2016 or possibly (long shot), it will move production to the US.

Maybe it's bias from me but I see way more G8 in this car than Malibu.

EDIT: Read the latest Car & Driver and you'll see this car beating a Charger SRT8 in a comparison test. If you worry about what people think of the badge on your car, you're doing it wrong.

Apparently North Americans like dark, non-flashy colors.

My friend's dad had a chance to look at Toyota factory back in the day (probably 15-20 years ago) and when he saw the lineups of finished vehicles and he immediately noticed how cars that are going to Japanese market had bright & flashy colors, whereas North Americans had darker colors.

Maybe because driving around in a bright blue car might label you a homosexual :suspicious:

AND WE CAN'T HAVE THAT
