So I called ROGERS, they claim that these 'FIDO STANDARD' plans are not
to be used with iPhones. only the 'FIDO MAX' plans. that doesn't make any sense.
So... it gets better..
I look on ROGERS site to see what they have for us 'unlocked byod' people...and they show a plan :
I believe the data speed on fido is slower then on rogers... at least with my friends phone it was.. the LTE on his iphone was in the 20mbps and HSPA was around 8-10mbps..
Fido LTE on my note 3 gets around 30 mbps avg, I usually just stick with 3g though.
And yeah you can definitely use a standard plan on iphone, no contract too just need 30 days notice to cancel.
I think the Fido double data/minutes promotion is going for a few more weeks so I'd get in on it soon. I wanted to change my dad's line but apparently it's still under contract
