I thought the ILX fell into the "nice effort but cheaped out" for exterior design. The TLX prototype (being a prototype of course) removes the cheaped out look, gets more aggressive and has the posture/stance to look better overall. Sorta the same issue when the CLS shrinks down to a CLA - you need a certain size to finish the details and you need to spend enough on the details to make it classy. |

And as much as this new TLX impresses me, I am not planning on replacing my TSX with that. Probably trade it for a 4g After face-lift TL sh-awd or an RL. The new Acura's just print way too much. Posted via RS Mobile |
current TL>>>>>TLX imo |
not gonna lie, my favourite part of that car is the side view mirrors  that shit looks sick as hell |
they're like the new supra concept i imagine that's not going to make it to prodution |
I don't mind it, it sounds great in the video! |

Yeah, the window outline might look similar, but it's clearly not a "bigger" version of the ILX. Unlike say the MB CLS & CLA. |
still waiting for interior shots |
Still looks a bit conservative to me. Nothing really "pops" out, nothing ground-breaking. This is the prototype, too. Prototypes usually look more flashy than the production models. I imagine the production model will look even more conservative, which translates to boring. I don't have high hopes for the production model. Oh, I have to say, I don't know why everyone likes these Jewel-eye LED headlights on Acuras. They look so low-tech. I think Audi and BMW have the nicest LED headlight designs. Very striking. When you see it from afar, it draws you in, and you want to have a closer look. With Acura's jewel-eye, I see it from afar, and it doesn't draw me in at all. |

The biggest difference in the body is that the door handles are moved upwards and the front end is more lifted for a more aggressive/bulky look like the new mazda and infiniti. The CLA/CLS has more difference with each other than this ILX/TLX comparison. |
I'll just put this here. Acura TLX GT Race Car http://images.thecarconnection.com/l...00453073_l.jpg http://images.thecarconnection.com/l...00453072_l.jpg Quote:

More like we can't help you. Who compares a prototype to a production model car? Even the race car looks boring. |
Speed2K you are comparing a production ILX vs a prototype TLX. I can see what mikey2781 is saying they do look a like but that is expected... You have to remember that the TLX will look very different once the production version comes out |

I think it looks like the ILX too looks like they just came out with a new ILX and nixed the TL from their lineup entirely except for the naming |
I hope it's priced similar to the tl sh-awd |
LOL. :okay: I don't get how Speed2K can't see that it's same sausage, different size for those two cars. They are as similar as a 5 series is to a 7 series or the new C class to the S class. This is not like the difference between the 1G TSX and 3G TL - those looked like cousins. The ILX/TLX are brothers. |
do want! |
