Speedstars, i think i saw you on marine drive and cambie around 6:15pm today, i just remember you have quite a few stickers lol, yellow fogs and black rims, looks nice!

SpeedStars 07-30-2014 06:38 PM

Lol was probably me. Just got off work from Richmond! What car were you in??

Shark Tank 07-30-2014 07:33 PM

timbo nice R34 your gonna be treated like a celebrity. this was everyone's dream car and to finally be able to have one is just fucking sick. between a mkiv, r34, r35 & nsx I would choose the R34 hands down.

Saw you at Herbert's!!

Not really a friend, I just met him at skywest. Nice guy though. Yep silver gtr was a v-spec.

My white GTT eastbear roams Langley as my DD. Going to to a nice little build this winter on her.

Ronin 07-30-2014 08:18 PM

Maybe it's just because I'm getting older but I've taken a much more Top Gear approach to cars than Fast and Furious.

The R34 just doesn't do it for me any more...especially not when it sounds as stupid as the one above. Could you imagine driving that every day? Pulling up at a light and not being able to hear the radio or emergency vehicles honking behind you because your exhaust sounds like a toddler throwing a tantrum.

inv4zn 07-30-2014 08:36 PM

I must admit I'm probably a little younger than you are, but the R34 in the video still gives me a fizzing sensation a la James May.

I do agree with how it may be annoying as MY dd, but if I saw it on the street I'd probably be a little happier than I was before seeing it.

My Regal doesn't have a resonator and while it sounds great at WOT and idle (dat brap), in typical city driving / parking lot maneuvers, it gives me a headache.

underscore 07-30-2014 09:34 PM

^ my GTFour is the same, it's fully straightpiped with just a passthrough muffler, I love the sound at idle and WOT but over 2k it drones a lot.

Had a friend help repair my cracked overfender and completely cut/shaved the fender lip for wheel clearance. Can properly tuck 285s now!

BrRsn 07-31-2014 04:55 PM

^ OT, but how the hell do you avoid that aside from taping up your entire front end?

I heard spraying WD40 all over the front before leaving helps wash it off?

tofu1413 07-31-2014 05:09 PM

makes sense to get a bra for the car...

however there isnt one available for the abarth.

Going to somehow pressure wash all that crap off. :heckno:

boatcaptain 07-31-2014 05:36 PM

The quicker you can get at those bugs the better, especially on black paint. If you're on it within a day they come off pretty easy at one of those self-serve wash bays.

Grim 08-01-2014 12:27 AM

i puked a little bit seeing those bugs
