It is because there are a lot of drivers in BC that have an international licence, and or just lack the minimum required brain cells to function in normal daily living. |
Op why don't you try next time and see what happens. Make sure you pick a police car though. |

its always asian drivers. this is not stereotyping, from my personal experience, when i check the driver, its always asians that make ridiculous mistakes. I also noticed that the amount of people who dont let you in for lane change turn signals have increased. Before, the common reaction was to slow down and let them in; Now, its speed up and get behind me. |

I don't know why some people treat my "lane change signal" as a cue for them to speed up and close the gap. Mind you, I only initiate my lane change sequence because I see there's a safe gap to change; meaning that I'm only signalling to you out of courtesy when I could very well cut in front of you without causing an accident. |
This reminds me of the scene in Die Hard With A Vengeance when they made a bogus 911 call so that they can chase the responding ambulance in order to beat downtown traffic. On a related note, I was once caught in heavy traffic on Burrard and ended up behind an ambulance with its lights and sirens on trying to get to St. Pauls after letting it go by. But because traffic was moving like 5km/h, I ended up following it for 2 blocks with both of us both trapped in the slow lane until it made it to the hospital. I did let those who pulled over to let the ambulance by in front of me but we all ended up being pulled along by the ambulance like a slow moving train... is that legal? |
AS SOON AS YOU SEE AMBULANCE, TURN AROUND AND GO THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION LOUD NOISESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS |

It's also dangerous NOT to let them in....It also does NOT teach them a lesson.... |

I agree with how people will increase their speed when you signal for lane change. But if there is a decent gap between you and the car next to you, why does it matter even if the driver speed up? you signaled, then you lane changed, by the time you complete your lane change, the driver wouldn't have caught up to you unless there were barely any space and you tried to lane change, then that's your problem. |
