Vettes always been a head turner. Most people don't give a second look at a GTR. The average person does not even know what a GTR is.

I think the new C7 Z06 just eclipsed the GTR as the best value sports car period. For less than $100K what can you get? for less than $150K what can you get? The C7 is the first corvette that interest allot of non Corvette people, especially with the torque converter auto. I have never driven a C7, but I hope you can enjoy driving it slow with our brutal speeding laws.

^ come to think about it, what used car can you get under $100K that could compete with the C7 Z06? 997.1 turbo? forget about it.....Ferrari? Lotus? the GTR is the only one that has a chance....what else???

would the camaro z/28 qualify in this argument for new?

i was thinking of a used audi r8 v8 for used... maybe a v10 like this but it's cutting it close to your original $150k ceiling http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/bn...752579288.html

^ yes, the Camaro z/28 does for sure! but for similar money I would go for the C7. I am curious though how much the tires on the z/28 plays a role in it's awesome lap times.....

that'd be stupid of them. they'd end up in a similar situation like dodge was in with the viper.. these things are going to sell very very well and that is a very good thing.

4-5 more years and they'll be at the $40k mark!

i'm not saying match the others in price... i dunno. maybe another $10k more in the asking price wouldn't hurt. GM could sure use the $$$ right now with all the recalls and lawsuits they're in the middle of right now.

as for resale prices, i think this model will do better than previous ones because it's just that much better and will hold its value?

Its crazy how cheap the Z06 is. Up to the C6 it still came across like an option package on a sports car so it wouldn't make sense for it to be priced high. But the C7 Z06 is a fucking race car on the street. It doesnt even look like a sports car, it looks like a rocket ship. How it isn't a $100k car is crazy
