confused by the 'road trip to XXXX' posts. |

What is confusing to you? Have you looked at a map? Do you know where Osoyoos is? |

How do you plan on getting between Vancouver and Osoyoos, where the track is located? Teleportation? Jetpack? :derp: |
If this place is going to accomodate drifting on those beautiful road courses....i will be there! i will steal the E30 from work and drive it out there and there the rear tires to shreads!!! |
^ and then you'll crash it like a champ and leave a sad owner -1 an e30 |

Gonna be flamed for this, but with the price of entry to this exclusive club (if it does happen), I wouldn't be surprised if it mostly consists of Mainland China govt officials' and businessmen's kids. :fuckthatshit: |

It's about a 5 hour drive. I haven't experienced crows nest pass myself but read cops heavily patrol that part of the highway. I would think there's not going to be speeds too much higher than the speed limit Posted via RS Mobile |

What they really need to do is expand the Agassiz Speedway so that it's more than just a stock car oval. There's only a dozen or so farms out that way, so noise complaints should be kept to a minimum. And despite the fact that it's nestled up against a mountain, think of how awesome a track could be made with that much elevation change for the twisty portions. :fullofwin: |
I met Bill one of the founders before. From what I understand Area 27 is not interested to host/rent out the track for public usage. AKA members only. There will be Auto Shops, garages for storage on site tho |

For the record, Vancouver-Kelowna is doable in a bit over over 2 and a half, Vancouver-whistler is doable in an hour. Hypothetically of course. |
Private is the only way to go for this track to stay afloat financially. I can't see a public track surviving especially in the climate we live in were the track would be in use for maybe 2-3 months max. One question I have is how would insurance work if you decide to track your car? I can't imagine ICBC footing the bill if you wipe out and smash your car so I assume it would have to go through a 3rd party or do you buy insurance at the track before going out? |

I miss Westwood. :( We should bulldoze all those houses in Coquitlam and rebuild the track. Haha... |
Y U SO EXPENSIVE |

And I am not talking about doing it in a GT3 car either. A slightly above average road car could do this... |
I was talking- hypothetically- from the tunnel to entering function junction is an hour flat if it's ~midnight, in nothing special, just something with decent handling. Though I would love to see what a supercar could do it in (closed roads so a professional driver could push said car to the limits) |
The start and end points I laid out put the route at 105 km's and a google maps driving time of just under 1:20. I am sure in closed course scenarios a good driver could put this somewhere into the high 30's or low 40's |
Old news, and basically useless to most of us even if it does get built. The only potential benefit to most of us would be spectating at races, should any ever occur. Any of you who do want to race, there's an HPDE coming up at The Ridge in April, it's 2 for 1 entry since it's the start of the season. Quote:
