BMW M2
 

New BMW M2, rumored to have a 4 cylinder turbo engine producing around 350 hp and 340 tq like the one found in the CLA 45 amg. Looks better than the new M4 imo.

I wouldn't fail you for that, but it does make me wonder, what do you think is a good looking car? (Similar market segment, sporty compact coupes, model year 2012+)

I think it looks sweet, slam that bitch on the better wheels and it's good to go.

Edit: For the record, I am not a 1-series fan, this is an improvement over the last gen IMO.

I think he meant it as in this looks really good, and it makes the 1M look really bad...

I always thought the 1M looked a bit cartoonish because of the weird proportions, but never considered it an "Ugly" car.

This M2 though, thats truly a pretty thing to behold...

I6 in the next M3 probably.

New m3 already has the I6 twin turbo 0-60 is around 3.9 sec. 235i has the I6 as well, rated 0-60 4.8 seconds, so they have to make a market for the new M2 or else the M2 would be too similar to the 235i and new M3. They also have to make the M2 less powerful than the M3, that's why the turbo 4 cylinders. And perhaps the goal of it is to compete with the CLA 45 amg, and to bring back the e30 m3. Keep in mind this M2 will weigh only around 2900 pounds.

It looks nice, but I don't see the point.

I think BMW should come up with a brand for people who don't necessarily need the BMW luxury but like the styling cues and engine performance. Like Scion to Toyota.

in a perfect world that might be a possibility but in reality bmw or any of the big 3 german manufacturers would never do that.

its mainly to the fact that they sell so well even though of the "luxury price" so there wouldnt be a reason for them to cut down prices on cars just for the sake of not having the bmw badge.

thoughts on the m2, i quite like the headlight design, looks sleek and aggressive, much better than the current 3 series design imo. not huge on the extra stuff on the intakes of the bumpers tho :/
