| Product Review: Blackvue DR500 Dashcam
Ok, I'm going the start!
On my way home this evening, I witnessed an accident where a pedestrian crossing at a crosswalk was hit by a car and thrown about 15 feet. I stopped to help at the scene with some other witnesses and people passing by. I called 911 and then helped administer first aid. The ambulance showed up then the Police. All was under control and the girl, although seriously hurt, was awake and alert. When I was giving my statement, I realized that my DVR had recorded the entire event!
Here is the product review!
Blackvue DR500 1080P Dashcam.
- 1080P recording
- 30 frames per second
- Wifi connectivity for easy review and playback or live viewing
- 32 gig micro SD capacity
- Low light capabilities
- Wide angle viewing
The review goes like this: This thing is incredible! It recorded every detail leading up to, during and after the accident. It was dark but the image was perfect. I reviewed the incident before handing over the micro SD to the Police and yeah, it is very clear as to exactly what happened.
It may not have saved a life but it sure helped solved the details of a bad accident. Yay Blackvue!

As much as I would love to show the video, I think that it would be in poor taste. Its pretty graphic and these are people that live in my neighborhood so I'm sure they would appreciate their privacy.
