IMO Koodo & Virgin tend to be the best bang for the buck, with Fido close behind. Koodo and Virgin also have excellent customer service in my experiences. Also remember you can change your plan up to once a month, so start with a smaller plan and if you find yourself running low on data or minutes every month, bump up to a bigger one. I know a lot of people paying way too much for overkill plans because they worry about going over, yet their actual usage is piddly. |
im on bell, $55 for 6gb and all the other basic daytimme, caller id, unlimited and so on. 2 year plan, renewed it from my previous 3 year |

500 mins 500 mb data unlimited after 5pm unlimited text caller id voicemail For $64 you can get unlimited minutes 1gb data everything else the same sounds like, your deals aren't very good. try to get telus to beat fido's plans. |

I use my data a lot on instagram, twitter, chrome and snapchat. I think you should be safe with 1GB. 3GB is way too much. Quote:
3GB is way too much. Yeah he'll need it if he's streaming YouTube with data but theres a reason why we have WiFi ;) |

Just looking at their website it seems fido is charging crazy for their phones, it almost seems better to buy a Nexus 5 form google and go on their plan with the 10% disccount BYOP promo. |
I'm just stating that Fido has it , i could care less about android. |

if you bring up Wind's plan, they will probably just tell you to leave Telus. |
i dont get how rogers&telus are still in business with those insane rates! starting at $80 with only 500mb :fulloffuck: iirc they're higher priced than before Wind arrived |

I've been browsing Fido's plans recently and if you are willing to pay more per month, they give you a bigger subsidy on the phone. For example, with the $44 plan i mentioned earlier, the Galaxy S4 costs $450. But if you pay $49, then the phone costs $150. so you pay $5 more per month, but you in the end you spend $30 less overall. I'm waiting for the S5 to come out, and the S4 prices to drop before making changes :accepted: |

It's waaaay too easy to eat up 1gb of data even just messing around on the phone when you're out. I'd rather pay a little extra for 3gb and not have to worry about going over. The more I look at it, Wind is fantastic. $40 unlimited everything with no contract. Only downside is I can't go back to iphone with Wind :( |
The thing with Wind/Mobilcity is they do have a soft cap (fair usage) on the "unlimited" data, 5 or 6 gb and once you go over that limit they throttle your speed. If you just need data and don't care much about its speed then i guess it's fine. |
