Modding my first car

Finally got my mom's '06 Accord and want to start modding it.
What are good mods to start with? (it's totally stock except performance tires)

I have a 300 piece socket set from Canadian tire so I can most likely do stuff at home. My friends told me there's rally-x in pit meadows.
Is the V6 Accord too front heavy for it? I'd first get some lowering springs obviously.

So nice to have a car that is in my name finally after all these years :D

I was thinking about starting with suspension. Get some lowering springs. Looked up some tutorials on forums and it doesn't look too hard to install.

Trade it in for a real rally car if you planning to rally it. This is opposed to inheriting a car and blowing thousands on something you didnt pick yourself.

Plus if its from your momma im guessing its an Auto, so even more reason to trade it in.

Take it to MM Design :troll:

The_AK 03-13-2014 05:57 PM

Does anyone here even had a modded car?

Ikkaku 03-13-2014 06:14 PM

No. We all drive stock Ford Rangers and Astro vans.

:suspicious:

its a honda accord, theres not many performance mods you could do to it to make it rally worthy "imo".

considering that your mom had to "finally" give you the car, you should probably just save, or keep saving, your money until you can afford another car. a 4 door accord sedan doesn't exactly scream rally at you and if thats the route you want to go down you're probably better off in something else.

Pre-cat deletes, J-pipe, Exhaust ----> Go fast in straight ;)

BetaPhoenix 03-13-2014 06:22 PM

I forgot to mention it's a coupe. I don't want to make it a rally car because it still has to be reliable. Thought I would just go to one or two events to make me a better driver on the street. (I don't want to race on the street)

What car would you get instead?

Lower, wheels, and exhaust. Thats all u really need.
Maybe some cheap mods like lighting - but no HIDs in reflective headlight housing o.O

fliptuner 03-13-2014 06:40 PM

First thing you should save up for is a tranny rebuild.

Or sell it before it blows.

Euro7r 03-13-2014 06:58 PM

Your thread title is misleading. Should be modding my moms car.

GS8 03-13-2014 07:09 PM

The car has a clean design so it should age well.

Just don't fuck it up.
