My dad wasn't about speed, but he was an excellent driver. 0 Accidents in like 45+ years. I remember how he would always be very aware of everything going on around him as a kid, I guess I adopted the same driving style. He would boot it when the road was clear every so often, perfect chirping shifts always made me smile

My dad is probably one of the best DIY mechanics I know, literally knows how to fix almost anything/everything with a car. That being said, money was always really tight so he never had a "nice" car, opting for cars that were more family-oriented instead; his current car is a 2003 Honda CR-V and before that, he had a 1993 Dodge Grand Caravan, both purchased new (he didn't believe in buying used, for some reason).

Some day when I'm older, more financially stable, and settled in a career/home/family I think I'll get him his all-time "dream car": a 1977 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am. Good examples can be found on Ebay for $20-25k, so it's not too much of a stretch if life pans out. Besides, I still owe him for paying for my university tuition, haha.

First car that I ever sat in from when I was born until I was 8 was in my dad's DA integra. I've always loved it and so was extremely saddened when he sold it. Flash forward to when I was 16, I picked up a DA right away and I'm still at it. I don't know why I love DA's so much, there's just something about them.

he tells me he was stupid as fuck and went the fastest hes ever been going over the knight st bridge at 3 in the morning with one of his buddies. wont tell me the speed though...and ive seen him do 180+ when we're on our bikes riding with each other before lol...then he got married and had me and my brother..sold the duster, bought an 85 ford ranger and an 85 prelude.

now he has another ranger thats lifted with tires etc, a harley, and a boat. mid life crisis?

My real dad was a car guy thru and thru. He and his brother rebuilt an austin mini in the living room of his ground level apartment. They took out the sliding door to do it. Then had a sweet early 70's ford shorty van and my mom a 67 impala and she also had a 53 ford pickup. After they split my "new" dad wasnt so much into cars but he did enjoy getting outdoors so he had a series of mid to late 70's ford 4x4 pickups and a 67' mercury cougar.
I was more influenced in my early years by my real dad and am a car nut. A real car nut as I have no affinity to any brand. All manufacturers have their good and bad models or engineering.
