Headlight Kits with LED's, Legal?

Planning to change to projector lights but the kit also comes with LED strips installed into them. Ive seen benz on the road with them, since they come stock but just wondering if an aftermarket light kit would be legal if they had LED strips

Technically any aftermarket light is illegal.

Hi, thanks for the info.
I was looking at these here:
SpyderŪ - Mitsubishi Evolution 2008-2013 Black Halo Projector Headlights with LEDs

it says they're SAE/DOT approved but the website is from the US. Just curious as if SAE/DOT regulations are similar/identical for the US and Canada.
