| [YVR] FS: 1997 BMW M3 Dakar Yellow - Price: $13,500
- Mileage: 146,000km (approx. 9,100km/year)
- Canadian car
- Rare Dakar yellow
- Black leather
- Luxury package – fully loaded
- Suspension completely replaced at 133,000km
- New brakes with slotted and cross drilled rotors installed at 133,000km
- No rust
- Garaged its entire life

- Everything works as it did on the day of delivery to the first owner
- Reason for selling: My wife and I are expecting our first child and I can’t imagine hauling a car seat let alone a baby out of the back seat. Need to make room for the new (to me) 540i M-Sport.
- This car is well sorted and will make the next owner proud
- 3rd owner
- 1st owner purchased vehicle from BMW Calgary
- 2nd owner purchased as a Certified Used. He happened to be the owner of a BMW motorcycle dealership and was a serious BMW enthusiast
- 3rd owner is me
- Vehicle history
- September 2006 – Production date
- 2002 - Car is relocated to Victoria, BC by the 2nd owner
- April 2008 - I purchased the car with 77,000km and relocate it to Vancouver
- The car has never been wintered or driven in winter conditions
- Maintenance history
- Previous owner maintained the car at his BMW dealership and at Victoria BMW
- Throughout my ownership the car has been maintained at CG Motorsports (two exceptions). Chris and Rudi can attest to my uncompromising attention to proactive maintenance and use of OEM or better parts.
- I have all of the maintenance history since I’ve owned it plus a few receipts from the previous owner
- Complete maintenance history since I took ownership is available to serious buyers
- Declarations
- 2 decs
- 1st was in 2010: minor paint damage to the rear passenger quarter panel ($900 - repaired at No. 1 Collision).
- Someone clipped the back end of the car as they were attempting to make a lane change without looking to see if there was anyone in the lane.
- 2nd was in 2012 when someone lightly scrapped the front end of the car. Again this was paint. While in for painting I had both fog light lenses replaced, had the sheet metal holding the kidneys replaced, and had the hood re-spayed as there were a number of small rock chips ($2,500 - repaired at False Creek Collision).
- Modifications
- The car’s appearance is completely stock
- The engine has been upgraded with a Dinan Stage 4 kit (everything up to but excluding a supercharger). All of the OEM parts come with the sale.
- Intake manifold and Dinan software
- Dinan throttle body
- Dinan carbon fiber cold air intake kit
- 3.5” air MAS meter
- Besemer short shift kit. The original shifter comes with the sale.
- Aftermarket CD player with iPod connection routed through the glove box
- Keyless entry with immobilizer and auto close windows and sunroof (lock the doors and walk away while the windows and sunroof close)
- Illuminated 5-speed M shifter
I kindly ask that test pilots stay away. I’m a busy guy and don’t have time to take people for joy rides. |
