Recommendation on Auto Bodyshop

Hi Guys,

Planning to paint my car with the Nissan Midnight Purple II. Any recommended body shops?

I've searched and these names came up:
- Jetway Bodyshop
- fastrackautobody
- 2000 collision

Any other shops I should be checking out? You can reply back here or PM me.

Thanks,
Francis

Lotus Auto body and Repair in Richmond. I got a price match and beat. The quality of the paint is high and the color match was perfect. In case ppl are wondering, its under new management. I'll post pics of the side skirts on my car tmr, but for now heres a of them fresh from the shop.

Im looking for a shop to paint + install a lip kit. I heard Starlite auto body and Save on auto body is good...can anyone chime in?

Wasn't Save-On Auto Body shut down for ICBC scammings? A buddy of mine moved his business into where they used to be off Bridgeport.

I'll support Andrew at Lotus(if he's still there). He's a good guy and always done right by me.

... Im pretty sure u didn't read my post above or knew its under new management now. However IF im misunderstanding and IF ur friend had a bad experience with them after new management, he should talk to the owner in person.

Who did you deal with? Do you know if "Andrew" like many mentioned is there?

lowda9 04-09-2014 07:08 PM

i've had great experiences with both Andrew and John at Fast Track Autobody. Perfect color match and great paint quality.

Color Care in Richmond. They've done great work on my car (mk4 supra) and on my friends cars (ae86, a4). They also did the blue RWB and the silver singer rep. Also used extensively by the automall for cars with shipping/lot damage.

Sry, I'm not sure if Andrew still works there or not. I didnt really talk to anyone else besides Jonny.

Perhaps it would be best to give them a call and ask. Or you could always just swing by and get a quote in person if it is convenient for you.

I have used Starlite and Fastrack. Both are good.

Victor is one of the owners of Starlite.

Andrew is one of the owners of Fastrack.

wonton1017 04-13-2014 01:19 PM

O.o my experience with fastrack was not good at all...

The entire time I was there, I was only talking to Andrew.

- Called them about painting side skirts
- Told me to bring my car in, so I brought my car in
- Told me to leave it there for the day so they can gather some colour codes
- Went back at the end of the day, car was never moved so I thought they just did it in the parking lot or w.e
- Told me side skirts will be ready in 2 days
- I go pick it up 3 days later and they told me to wait 10mins, which was really 1 hour and 15mins
- At this point I already knew that the side skirts weren't ready, perhaps they haven't even started painting it till I got there
- He offered to install my sideskirts for free even though I was going to do it myself, takes literally 10mins anways
- Looks good, yay.

ONE week later, there were a bunch of scratches on the side skirts already.

I brought it in because they said "satisfaction guaranteed" and all that bs on their website about imperfections will be covered and crap.

I played it out nicely and started asking about installing the front lip that I just picked up. He test fits it on the spot and literally 15 seconds later he tells me it isn't going to fit without heavily modifying the front bumper which would cost almost $800.

Anyways, I asked him about the side skirts and he replied "do you have a girlfriend? your girlfriend probably stepped on your side skirts"

Wtf? My OEM side skirts have been on the car for 4 years and there is not a single scratch.

Conclusion:
- Never coming back here again
- Paint job was shitty
> Not enough coats which lead to scratches that went straight to the primer
> Did not match perfectly even though they claim to PERFECTLY MATCH or money back, got none of that.
