Attn Timpo: Nissan GT-R No Longer The King Of The Dragstrip :troll: The Nissan GT-R Is No Longer The King Of The Dragstrip Beaten by a convertible :fuckthatshit: PS: Posted tongue firmly in cheek, yes I know the 911 is still more expensive. Lies! Posted via RS Mobile |
Both look extremely disengaging to drive Push a few buttons, hold down the gas pedal, just point it straight. You don't even have to shift! Now your grandmother could run a high 10 second quarter mile without a sweat... ZZZZzzzzzz... |
So you are going to prescribe you universal picker upper? ie needs a Ford Mustang + T5 swap? Quote:

The new 991 Turbos are beasts, Nissan definitely better step up it's game with the R36. In fairness though, the R35 is becoming a dated platform, with not much in the way of change in the past 3-4 years. What I do like is that it forced some of the other manufacturers to step up their game to compete with it, which is great. Competition breeds good cars. |

Gtr is still best. Who cares about king of drawstring. Its nissan. I bet it gets better empeegees anyways. Posted via RS Mobile |
GTS has NEVER been king of the strip. When an alpha 2000 still cant run with a Supra they are not king. Epics car, but no king of the strip. |

The EBA (2015 USDM) revision was supposedly going to feature a host of upgrades, but it was quite disappointing. They really haven't made any big changes - read engine, transmission, significant car design - since the release of the R35. They always talk about "revised suspension" and things like that, but in all honesty it's trivial. Even the DBA's HP bump was the result of simply turning up the boost. Don't get me wrong, it's a fantastic car, but the time has come for some more "substantial revisions" to the base car, or better yet a new generation. The NISMO will make for a quick car, but good luck buying one given so few will be made. Plus, for an apples to apples comparison, you can't really put the Turbo Cab up against it. They really should have taken the larger turbos and subsequent hp bump and suspension tuning and added it to the base model, minus the egregiously expensive aero bits and the like. |

There is nothing like feeling the road, I don't feel like paying for a playstation on wheels. I'm praying that Nissan re-evaluates the Z program as a car built for fun rather than lap times. |

At the end of the day if you look at used cars classic or modern, import or domestic people want a manual trans over an automagic. If they take that option away they just hurt the cars resale value |
