Operating a Class A Motorhome

I might be going on a road trip using a friends Class A motorhome, late this summer. One of my buddy's is a bus driver and usually drives but I'd like to share the duties. In order to operate it do I need to upgrade to a Class 2 license?

Also, would I need to upgrade my license if I want to operate a 30 passenger "charter/shuttle" style bus for non-commercial use? If so, what class?

I have a Class 3 (w/ air), 5 and 6.

Thanks.

Class 5 (and your air endorsement, if so equipped) is all you'd need for any motorhome. Buses over 25 passengers require a class 2 if I remember correctly.

Thanks.

So with the bus, I'd still need a Class 2 even if I was alone or say, had less than 6 people and wasn't using it in a commercial capacity?

We're thinking of picking one up to tow a track car and spare parts/tool hauler and removing all but 3 of the benches. Not sure if I can legally drive it since it's still a bus and only has 1 approved seatbelt.

It's 3 and I'm exhausted but here's the basics from ICBC and then a pic/link from the boozy section of the MoT website:

ICBC | Licence classes and types

Registrar, Passenger Transportation Branch - Rides Home

So anything over 10 seats isn't covered by a class 5 and requires at least a class 4 to operate and then from what I read above a 30 passenger would require a full class 2. I might have missed something though from being tired - I'll look over all this tomorrow if nobody has clarified it further.
