Yup. Got back to my hotel to see an email turning down my offer. He now plans to fix the car with some welding. I thought, as I read it, "hmmm...bet it's online for more money now..." Ah well! -Dave |
A couple of cool older 911s if anyone is looking for one. yellow 76 911S . $24,750 Very detailed ad 1976 PORSCHE 911S COUPE http://images.craigslist.org/00j0j_5...2R_600x450.jpg and a very nice 86 911 cab. $19,750 http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/nv...539442483.html http://images.craigslist.org/00C0C_6...2R_600x450.jpg |
That yellow 911...:sweetjesus: |
That yellow 911, my fucking god. I'm going to close my laptop now in hopes that it ends up in my dream tonight. That, with my wife in the passenger seat and my dog sticking his head out the window from the back seat, cruising at a cool 140 down the PCH listening to the rattly metallic boxer just screaming. Thats what life is all about. Cars like that evoke a passion in me that only the finest things in life can. |

My version of that would be the same PCH on an early summer morning, right when it's cool out and before the cops/tourists get on the highway, in a 1967 GT500 fastback, full frame off restoration with the heart of a modern GT500, perfect, glossy white paint on guardsmen blue stripes, music from the era at the perfect volume to still hear that glorious, primal roar of the blown V8 at full song as you cannonball your way south... Ohhhh.... Dreams. It's what wakes ya up every morning. |
Saw this car last night at Byrne Road. I know the guy who brought it, but not who owns it. Just arrived off the boat Monday. Fully built R34 GT-R, no expense spared. 618 whp. The quality of the parts used is insane. Former show car in Japan. I doubt it will sell for near the asking price, but you never know. Could be someone's dream. I'd go for the SC, over the 2.7L. Sadly because of the reputation the 2.7's have, which is probably completely overblown. Black is the worst colour though. That yellow :toot: Crazy how much the prices of these things have gone up, even in just the last year. 25,000, a SC would have to be in pretty tip top shape. For a 911S, that's just getting crazy. But as they say, buy the nicest one you can find and you will save…. |

Hud nice spot on the yellow 911. That color really makes the car. Rare colors are demanding higher dollars when it comes to 911s. Spartan: I like that R34 GTR a lot! Someone will pick it up. Knowing how much RB26/GTR parts are the price is not that bad. |
1980 Porsche 911 SC This was posted last winter and the price was quite a bit higher. I love the exterior. The seat and dash colour difference is a little weird though. |
I'd be scared shitless buying this thing. Sounds like a redneck makeover but would be fun as hell. OBO 87 BMW E30 3.5L swap Malahat (including Shawnigan Lake & Mill Bay), Victoria |
I really hate to say it, but that does seem like a great candidate for a 302 and a t5 swap... |

:troll: Spoiler! |
Man, those 911 SC prices are high. I'm really tempted to import one over from Japan. I see a 1979 Porsche 911 SC with 3.5 rating. starting bid is ~8k, I wonder if I should import it over and sell it. :troll: |

would rock that e30 with that motor though. endless torque from that m30 |
