That's a great deal, paintjob alone costs as much as the car!
You could be Jason97Cobra's older brother. Whatever happened to that guy? lol

Im pretty sure it is. I remember seeing a Ford Windstar minivan with the same paintjob 20 years ago.

I didn't mean it was aftermarket paint... just that the option was very expensive back in the day

I only found out a few years about there is Mystic Crome and just Mystic.
Thought ppl just shortened Mystichrome to Mystic.

So apparently, this 1996 iteration "mystic" color was very "controversial", expensive and rare because the dye was also used by the federal reserves for the anti-counterfeiting technology at that time, making it a controlled substance.

A Ford rep would have to deliver the paint to an approved body shop, supervise the usage to ensure it was used properly, then re-seal the can and return the unused portion.
The Mystichrome in 2004 was reformulated.
04 Mystichrome vs 96 Mystic
Someone on
this Ford forum broke it down to further detail.

Nice colours on the SC, makes it look much more sleek and less bulbous.
I'm shocked the bidding is so high on it already!!!
If you win it I'm coming with you to get it.

Car gays looking for bears are probably looking for something more butch. The quirky car gays will find this one too new still - this needs another 10 years before this becomes appealing.

No point in even bidding until the last 60 seconds.
Only gullible people bid early, thinking they are going to get lucky, then say "it's a
fun bid!" to cover up their stupidity

Not really affiliated - but I have met this gentleman and am saddened by his passing.
This isn’t a good buy for everybody - but if you know what this is - 50k ish is pretty reasonable for a build of this quality. HPA doesn’t mess around - this car is basically an OEM style build for driveability.
If you’re not a dubberz member @ me for contact info if you’re interested.

He's looking for a 22k spektrum with 5k on it and a 10 year remaining factory warranty.

it's not some guy's backyard build - it's an HPA car.
that's like saying you wouldn't by a Roush or a Callaway - which is fine too.
I'm sure there will be a full ad soon. At this point the family is just putting it out there. I had to post private group screenshots to show it.
I posted this car because this is a very cool local car, built by one of the foremost shops in the world for these - who also happens to be local. It would cost much more to duplicate it which I think qualifies it as a good buy.
