There were rumors of the 25th anniversary model to have a blueprinted engine, would be pretty sick if it were true.
It's sorta blueprinted - Mazda says their engineers picked the best parts out for these engines but they couldn't do a real blueprint of it.
The colour looks great but considering you can get $4-5K off a regular Miata right now I have a tough time imagining that they'll sell 100 of them in Canada (since they are made to order). Very nice leather too.
What they really should have done for the anniversary edition, especially since it's a limited run model, is make a lightweight, stripped down model. Bring it back to the original base model type stuff - manual windows, rag top, no radio or any other sort of frills. Make it track oriented with stiffer anti-roll bars, nicer suspension, stickier tires, etc. No, they probably wont sell a lot but, again, for a limited run model, why not?
