how to make a car quiet?

Does anyone know how to make a stock impreza quiet?

Acethriller 05-04-2014 12:34 PM

In terms of engine noise or road noise? don't think they're loud enough to be an annoyance in stock form at least.

snails 05-04-2014 12:57 PM

there are online stores that have thicker carpets to reduce noise

Auto Carpet for Car, Truck, Van - Stock Interiors

there are also shps that specifucally sell the hush matt and sound deadener

Vehicle Sound Deadening Materials for Noise Reduction, and Thermal Insulation. Call 800 679-8511. | Second Skin Audio, Made in the USA.

and if you wanna make your exhaust quieter look into a good heavy resonator

you could look into undercoating, its not going to be significant but does help.

i am a shitty driver learned at 4am in morning and reading from online 8 years had no teacher. it just sucks i sound like a newbie still that why i asking how to make car more quiet.

Put in a greddy in 4 cylinder 2006 accord sounded much better with low grumble kinda sound, but driving new baby Warren(stock base model impreza) sound to loud and high.

Any suggestions please?

and do shops help put in sponge of foam into exhaust where do i go?

Jaffray 05-08-2014 02:33 PM

You put in a greddy exhaust but at the same time you want to go quiet..

Why don't you just go stock exhaust?

snails 05-08-2014 02:34 PM

just stick sponges in the muffler..

604sub 05-08-2014 02:46 PM

I swear guys i forgot what the fartcan was model name but it was a miracle it made my driving stock v4 accord actually less noisy compared to the stock one and when i drove hard the low grumbling was quite sexy sounding to me.....I don't know how to go?

604sub 05-08-2014 02:47 PM
